Columbia's AMTRAK train station is conveniently located downtown, at 850 Pulaski Street.

An old CSX caboose is on display at the station, where visitors and passengers can tour the car.

The hour between 1 and 2 a.m. is busy at the Columbia AMTRAK station, as both northbound and southbound trains stop in Columbia during this hour, and it is not unusual to see both trains taking on or letting off passengers at the same time. The northbound Silver Star leaves the station at 1:12, while the southbound Silver Star leaves at 1:39.
