Parrott's On Lartigue also has a select line of costumes for that special party! Stop by the store at 5775 Lartigue Street, Blackville, SC 29817, or phone (803) 284-3670. Open Tuesday through Friday, 10 to 5, and Saturdays 9 to 4. History of Store The store dates back to 1859, when Simon Brown & Sons, of Blackville, was established. Mr. Brown was primarily a cotton dealer but also an entrepreneur. In the store, shoppers could purchase anything grown or used on the farm. Browse the original country store and see the authentic marble and wood cash drawer, the vintage clothing, and the walk-in safe -- lift the lid to see the bed of salt with slabs of cured bacon. The store was re-opened in 1985 by owner Sara Ann Parrott Shelton and features fine antiques and gifts for all occasions. For a brief history of Blackville, go to our Blackville page.
