A visitor's guide to the Friendly Midway, Columbia, SC, an area Where Friendliness Flows

Right in the midst of the largest city in South Carolina is a friendly and refreshing oasis known as Finlay Park.  This beautiful park covers several city blocks and features a restaurant, lake, creek, and waterfalls.  

Finlay Park is the host of many summer events.  Many are free, including a Shakespeare Theater series, and concerts by local and national bands.

The park was built through the vision and efforts of Mayor Kirkman Finlay, and a bronze sculpture of the mayor enjoying his beloved park in our Public Art section.
