The recently-completed EdVenture Children's Museum is the largest children's museum in the country. It has 8 galleries covering 67,000 square feet, plus hands-on exhibits, a lending library, 2 resource centers, and a 200-seat theater.  Located at 211 Gervais Street in midtown Columbia, next to the South Carolina State Museum, the EdVenture Children's Museum is open on Tuesdays through Sundays.
